Learn Phlebotomy From The Best

(This class will start on December 2024)

Phlebotomy is the process of puncturing a vein to collect a blood sample, and it requires specialized skills and knowledge to ensure patient safety and accurate sample collection. DLM Academy LLC’s phlebotomy course is registered with the Ohio State Board of Colleges and Schools. The course is designed to teach individuals how to draw blood from patients for medical testing, donations or transfusions, as well as receiving training in alternate specimen collections such as urine and saliva. The course is approximately 3 weeks in length and includes such topics as anatomy and physiology of the circulatory system, proper techniques for venipuncture (the act of drawing blood from veins), safety precautions, infection control, specimen handling and labeling and communication skills. Our students will also be provided with hands-on training and supervised clinicals. Upon successfully completing the course, graduated students will have the opportunity to take and pass the national certification test to become a Nationally Certified Phlebotomist.
